A Mother's Prayer

As a mother, when I'm watching my children
And seeing them struggle through each step they take
I pray every day to be who I need to be
And that my decisions will be the right ones to make.

I pray every day I will be strong enough
To give my children the care they deserve.
I pray every day that my day will be long enough
To love them and nurture them and to serve.

I pray every day they will feel the love I have
For each of them in my own special way.
For they are the beauty I see in my own life
And I thank God for them every day when I pray.
